Growing up I was ambitious like most people are. I still am today but not fiercely like I was before since my anxiety has confined me to certain sectors. Yes it's not great but at least I'm honest to myself about the things I can try and not.

Having suffered emotional abuse as a child along with having OCD currently and a non understanding family and set of friends only aggravates the situation. My life will never turn out the way I want it to, I'm 26 and may or may not get married but definitely do not want kids. As surprising as this may sound but that was a fairly easy decision for me to take with the resources available and not available to me because of my past, present and future scenario.

Anxiety has taken a lot away from me but it's also helped me in knowing the things I shouldn't try. I don't pay heed to people who pass comments like '' Man up'' or ''You're missing out on life'' for you can't know what I go through unless you have yourself. It's like me commenting as a man that delivering a child is a fairly easy process.

Rant over, have a nice day wherever you are, Peace

Do you take medication for these conditions or see a therapist? These could help you reach more of your goals possibly. You can also build a support system aside from unsupportive family and friends. Good luck and best wishes.

Thank you for the reply

Yes I am under medication currently for anxiety and ocd. Therapy hasn't worked out for me and also it's quite expensive. In India mental illness is not covered under insurance

just don't give up trying..walk, exercise, drink little coffee, get back massages...take a walk to a nice place...breath deep into your stomach..get the right amount of sleep...

I try all these things to help control my anxiety along with medication..which I want MORE of! And I was emotionally abused in childhood and adolescents and adulthood and it is still happening with almost every member of my family...and I am 53...Anxiety sucks and the people that know you have it and like to push buttons....are heartless...
