ever been stuck ALMOST but NOT QUITE having an anxiety attack? Like you feel like you are about to, but it never comes to a head. I almost think i would feel better if i could get it out and overwith rather than feeling stuck like this.

Yeah, I've felt that. Usually it is this feeling of sort of paranoia for me; this constant general anxiety where you feel like something could trigger a full blown panic attack at anytime... but like you said, it doesn't. Just try to remember that the feeling does go away... it just takes a little longer.

Hang in there

I know it's a very uncomfortable feeling, like being on the verge of a sneeze that doesn't come, but instead feeling that at any moment everything's about to go right up the spout so to speak. I've been feeling that way on and off a lot lately. But I agree with icky. I find a few deep breaths help.

I very frequently find myself in panic attack in any social situation. I dread the situation, because now I dread the panic attack. I find that if I get into any social situation, even something simple like a meeting at work, I feel trapped, then it flashes across my mind..."oh no, here it comes again", and it will. I have tried relaxation techniques and challenging the irrational thoughts. In some instances, I am able to ride out the panic attack, and stick with the situation afterwards.

I feel that so often. I haven't had a full blown panic attack for some time now but, like you say, sometimes I wish I could just to get rid of the constant low-lying anxiety.
