(((Hugs)))

IDK about the UK, but I do know that the last thing banks in USA want to do it manage real estate/ repossess a home. They don't make money that way.

Here in the USA you can often go to the bank/creditor and renegotiate the purchase price even, knocking it down to an amount less than what you currently owe, but more than the bank would get in foreclosure. Refinancing also usually delays the first payment for 6 weeks.

I hope you find help, and keep your home.

Do you know how the repossession works? I'd start bugging my solicitor really hard or get a credit agency or someone to help? What a pain in the butt for you!

Do churches ever help in the UK? or any social agencies...

or would they let you pay "interest" only... some options in our country...

wish I could help..

I am so sorry for the stress you are experiencing! In January we received a bill for $10,000 from the Internal Revenue Service (taxes). It was their mistake but it took 9 months and a nervous breakdown to fix it.

thankyou all, we are paying interest only since my hubby was made redundant., we have sorted things for now and been offered a cash deal for out house but for a lot less than it is worth.....

We are thinking about it. I think our solicitor is sorting things quite well, my work have pied me for the last 2 months and now want it back...I have a meeting next week on my birthday!! They are officially going to finish me after a letter from my doctor.
They made the mistake by paying me.... they can whistle for the money hehe.

I'm trying not to worry about it.
