Today I feel very weird, kind of like I'm about to lose my mind. I have happy emotions but it doesn't feel right, it feels very off and I have this feeling that something's not right. I've also had two times today where I'm just looking at something and it feels like I lost touch with reality for a second or two, everything got dark and looked disturbing for a second or two kind of like if you watch a horror movie and it has that kind of look it's hard to explain. I'm pretty terrified that I'm about to lose it, this has never happened to me before... I need some reassurance that this is just anxiety and it will go away. Please help!

Hi. Yes, the feeling you describe could very well be related to anxiety and the darkening effect could be an optical function of the eye. I doubt very much that you're losing it, as you say. But, yes, there could be some anxiety there. If both those things continue to trouble you, then perhaps have a word with your doctor as well. Don't worry, it's okay, trust me.

I don't know if it is anxiety or not. It does sound like something is not going okay for you. Please go to see your doctor or therapist and tell them what is happening.

That sounds a tad bit like dissociation, but I'm no expert.

It could be anxiety since it's symptoms are very wide spread but you could also just have a bad day. Anyway I don't think you are about to lose it. If it occurs more often than you could think about speaking to an expert.
