so,
my favorite store as a child is closing down (pretty soon actually, they are doing the clearance sale as we speak), and I really have to be a part of the closure- I have a thing.. end is one of my triggers, and when something ends- no matter what (even if I don't like it), I need to be a part of it. this is extra special: it's my favorite store well, I don't live near it anymore (sadly), and their is no way I can get to it before it closes. what I want to know is... how can I be a part of it's closure without actually being their? I know if I'm not a part of it, I'll feel like I've failed and I'm not complete |

Are they selling things online? Maybe that's one way you could participate.

You can create your own closing ceremony with a friend.

Do you have a cellphone?
You could find a picture of it online and snap a picture of it. Then post it here on the forum along with your memories of it. Or some variation of this (draw a picture, find an object you would have purchased there). You could send a card to the store. They probably have to receive mail for a while to receive final bills. |

That is such a good idea - when I know something is soon to disappear, I'll take a photograph, or make a souvenir, so that in that way at least, it lives on.
