Hello all,
This is my first time posting here. I do not really know where to begin.... my general problem is with worrying. I worry all the time. About everything. My most current issue is that I constantly worry that a memeber of my family is going to die. Does anyone else have a problem like this? At times it interferes with everything... I dont know what to do... There is nothing wrong with this family member either.. perfect health. |

MissBethy,
I just wanted to welcome you to the board. While I do not have your specific fear I am sure that there will be people on the board who would understand what you are going through. I hope that you find this place helpful. Jessica You are in this snowglobe. It is encovered in glass and secure. But one day someone comes and shakes the globe and the pieces go flying everywhere. Now they will eventually settle but they won't be the way they were before and they can never be that way again.

missybethy,
Welcome, I, too, am new here. I do understand the worry problem. Have you spoken with someone about this - like your doctor? No one really wants to go to a doc and say "I worry all the time", but it may begin you on a good road to managing this problem. For me, medication and some therapy were a key. When I realized my anxiety problems were interferring with the life I wanted to lead, I had to seek help. You deserve a good quality of life not a life of toxic worry. Think of having a talk with a doc. |

Hi Missbethy,
I have been struggling with the same thing for awhile now. But, I worry about myself and death all day. I know this can ruin your life and it is torture. Just fight it. Go to therapy and consider meds. I do this and I also make sure to fill my days with not too much idol time to sit and worry. They said what we have is panic disorder and obessive compulsive disorder. I got it after I was in the hospital and thought I was going to die. Write to me if you need help. I can really relate. good luck ali P.S> I also go to a support group |

Hi missbethy,
It sounds like there's a possibility that you have Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). What you describe is not an uncommon symptom of GAD. You should make an appointment to see a mental health specialist about it. Usually meds, therapy, or a combination of both can help you get a handle on it. Welcome to the forums! I hope you find all the help and support that you're looking for. I look forward to getting to know you better! Good luck, Greg ![]() "Beauty is truth, truth is beauty - that is all you know on earth, and all you need to know" |

Welcome to all 3 of you Missbethy, AL i26, CassyB... generalized anxiety sure can make you feel "crazy" because to you, there's "NO REASON" to be feeling that way!
But you don't need to be trying to live with it... your MD can prescribe a basic med to help glide you through it... and possibly correct the imbalance... and if it pans out to be a bigger issue, well talk therapy with someone you trust (a therapist, a minister, even your MD) might be all that's needed. Do take action though, because it can overwhelm your life needlessly. meditation is a true way to connect to the Source
