I find essential oils and nice smells so soothing and relaxing, lavender is my favorite. I have an essential oil diffuser that I turn on at night, I find it to be easier than candles and you can switch out which oil/scent you want at any time.

I'm considering trying Bach floral essences. Anyone has an experience with them?

Interesting question. A few short weeks ago I would have said no and that believing in such things was a case of the placebo effect. But I found myself recently in a state I nearly hospitalised myself for. My Pdoc was unable to meet with me so he actually prescribed that I use a more natural remedy to dealing with my anxiety: Lavender, and 'stress release' (name brand) oil, and a name brand tea (PM me because I don't think we are allowed to flog products). I noticed an immediate relief of my symptoms and have managed to keep the severe anxiety mostly at bay. I applied for a job yesterday which weeks ago I wouldn't even have considered. I am very thankful for the discovery.

This tea is fabulous but I only take it at bedtime. Definitely not if I have to leave the house and drive.
Ingredients: peppermint, lemongrass, hibiscus, rosehips, chamomile, valerian, cornflowers Whoa! warning, it is a knock-out. |

I use stress relief soap, that works pretty well. I also take fast dissolving melatonin. I bought a Himalayan salt lamp a couple weeks ago. Some say it’s works well for anxiety. I always try using natural stuff before medication.

YES!! I absolutely love peppermint oil for anxiety. For me, it is incredibly calming and soothing. My mind and body immediately relax when I mix a few drop with a lotion or other oil and apply it under my nose or all over my chest and arms. The cooling effect is an amazing distraction from both mental and physical anxiety, and breathing deeply, the smell goes straight to the most chaotic part of my mind and soothes it very quickly. xo
