wondering if anyone's had this

where they've sat their and it feels like your heart is going really quickly, but when you actually take your hand and put it on your heart it is normal.

it's strange and weird

I have had that and its more like my heart is pounding but not actually racing. I have been to the doctor for it and they said its a combination of palpitations and elevated pulse but mostly its just pounding hard which makes it seem like its fast.

I have never experiences this, raging vortex, but I believe it's normal. Like sarahsweets has already said, it's probably just your heart pounding really hard. So I wouldn't worry too much about it. When does this usually happen? If you're still worried about it, I'd suggest to talk to your doctor about this and see how it goes from there. But like I said, I don't think there's anything too unusual about. Feel free to PM me anytime. Sending many hugs to you

that doesn't sound strange at all. we sometimes transfer our energies to others in ways that seem more real than they actually are. maybe this is what you are talking about? next time, try checking your pulse too for a normal rhythm

That happened to me one time. I could feel my heart racing. I was at the doctors and the nurse took my vitals and my blood pressure and heart rate actually were sky high. My doctor decided to put me on Xanax twice a day that day.

I have high blood pressure pretty much everytime I go to any doctor. Not always a fast pulse though.

usually happens when I'm ssitting still (like trying to relax)

never when I'm doing stuff
