I'm starting to get especially nervous. I live in a "hot zone" in the U.S. (right outside NYC). The healthcare system is completely overwhelmed. I worry most about my 85 year-old grandmother catching it. She lives with my parents and brother. None of them are out working though, so at least her chances of getting it aren't as high. I'm working from home now, which is a relief. It is still stressful with deadlines, but better than being in the office. My therapist is doing telehealth sessions remotely, and it hasn't been so bad. Still though, my anxiety is high, being in such a populated area and all.

Stay well, everyone.

From now on, I will cross the street if I see anyone approaching on the side walk.

This morning I was on my way home from the supermarket when this b itch came from the opposite direction - already walking right in the middle of the sidewalk instead of to the side to keep more distance - and just started coughing right into the air, not even bothering to cover her mouth at all. She was far too close for comfort in that moment. I'm so angry at people like this. We're not all staying at home for fun! But then idiots have to go and risk the health of everyone else.

We are out of Tylenol everywhere. I use Tylenol a lot for pains and headaches. I can't take Ibuprofen because of my stomach. I can't believe people bought up all the Tylenol. That rumor that Ibuprofen will makes this worse is fake news. I can't believe people aren't more intellect. When I first heard it, it didn't make sense. So I researched. But no! I won't complain. I'm doing the best I can with what I have. I am relying more on my migraine medicine, heating pads and just going to sleep. My step mom said she would try to get some for both of us.

That sucks! Fingers crossed your stepmom can find you some.

Here there's still lots of empty shelves in the supermarket. Won't be eating a lot of veggies because they were out of everything I wanted now I probably need less food anyway because I just sit at home all day, but I want to at least eat some healthy food!

Thank you! My sister found some. She's going to mail it to me. That will get me through. I hope you can find some healthy foods for yourself. Sending good thoughts your way!

I was doing okay until this past weekend. The news coverage has become so bleak and gloomy that my OCD has grown uncontrollable and I obsess over the virus all day. We're having a bad allergy season where I live, so every tickle in my throat, every sniffle or sneeze sends my mind racing. My husband still has to work, so I constantly worry that he is going to get sick or bring it home inadvertently. Nothing except sleeping, when I can get myself to sleep, has been able to stop my mind from going to dark places.

My state has not been hit as hard as others. For now, anyway. I can't imagine what people are experiencing and feeling in the worst areas. I pray that everyone will stay safe and healthy as we ride this out.

I'm trying to stay calm and reasonable during this time. Whenever I hear some fear based rumor, I do the research. It's keeping me sane while others end up doing crazy things. I think it's important to keep a cool head during this time. I make sure to stay informed, do my prayers, check in on everyone, tend to my responsibilities and find time to relax and decompress.

I'm wishing the best for everyone! May we all get through this together.

Overall I think I am relaxing a little but I am still very scared to find out if I caught anything from the coughing idiot on Wednesday. This really sucks. Nothing to do but wait. Of course I know this person might not even be sick, or it might not have reached me, or I might not get sick, or maybe I've even already been infected without any symptoms... but logic doesn't do much to my anxiety.

Sometimes I just want to hide under the covers until all of this is over.

I also wish the best for you.
You’re doing really well by not letting you drive by fears about all those rumours and also fake news. The best in this cases is to contrast the information by listening to what experts have to say and have a cold head, as you say.

You do very well in keeping distances. Here too, there are still people at the supermarkets who don’t have the patience to wait for you to finish to take things from a stand. I have been all the time taking care of distancing myself enough from each person.

My president today enlarged the confinement until the end of April. So, wow! I can’t even guess how we are gonna cope with this situation for so long.

The behaviours by my female doggie I attributed to a change because of the confinement ends up with taking her to emergency and she has just had a surgery made. According to the doctor she will be fine soon.

When going to emergency, all streets were empty. It was impressive.
The beautiful Spring sunshine over empty streets.

Yes but you can't control the people around you.

Scared again today. I've been having a sore throat on and off for over 2,5 weeks now. Occasional cough as well. Could be just allergies. No fever or anything. Usually breathing just find. I do get out of breath faster but then I've been mostly sitting at home for three weeks so I'm terribly out of shape.
I just wish I could get some kind of certainty.
Thanks for this!

hang in their!. the end of april does seem a long way away, but trust me, they are doing the right thing- and when they do finally lift the lockdown, you'll be so glad that you did your part and stayed at home..

I'm having the same issue. Juniper allergies are terrible here right now, and I have a cough and sore throat that won't stop. The medication I'm taking is doing nothing to help. But it's been this way for weeks and I have no fever, so logically I know that it's allergies. It's just hard when you hear that these are also symptoms of the virus.

Just take care of yourself and remember that it's peak allergy season.

Thank you for your words. Very kind of you and yes, they are doing the right thing. At least the percentage of contagions is decreasing.

I understand how hard time people with allergies may have thinking about if their symptoms are due to allergies or corona virus.
Even when you know that if the symptoms are not constant, it’s allergy. Thanks god, the confinement prevent you from feeling allergy symptoms so badly as other years.

My cat's vaccines are due this month. But I just got an email from my vet and they are postponing annual vaccines. Don't know for how long. I guess I can call and see and make sure my cat will be safe. She's an indoor cat. So I'm sure that helps. Also, the news has made me very anxious today. The CDC lady was saying stay in... don't even grocery shop or go to the pharmacy. Things are supposed to get much worse over the next few days. I'm glad I have everything I need for now. Stay safe, everyone!

How is everyone doing?

I had a few okay days but my anxiety seems to be going up again Sore throat also back after being gone for two days.

The sunshine helps. I went for a short walk yesterday morning and life almost felt normal again. Although there's also a worry nagging at the back of my mind that the sunshine makes people more careless. And yesterday afternoon I was very bored and grumpy being stuck at home. Really wished I had a balcony. But that happens every spring/summer

The sun definitely helps. We're so fortunate to have a governor that did his job and took action right away. So at this point we're holding our own in California. Hopefully that will maintain. I want sun and warm weather because I believe it will help to kick this things as$.

We are beginning to glimpse some good news. At least we reached that zone where the curve is stabilised. Now, the next challenge is to bend it down.
After so many days, it helps to see some positivity and gives some kind of hope to see that the sacrifice is being worthy.

I’m tired of course, we can’t get out even for a walk. But, at home everyone is healthy since my doggie is recovering from the surgery, so this is a motive itself to be grateful.

It’s been talked about the hot weather...how the virus could have less strength. Hope, it happens this way. I want it to burn in the same hell!

Want to go to the mall, visit my mom, buy what I want at the grocery store, take a walk in the park, go on a date, travel by plane, train or car to wherever I want, but I’m not due to want to help reduce spreading the virus to others.

Feel bad that businesses are struggling so want to help them and get back to the mall, driving to see family, shop more at the grocery store, travel by plane, car, train, and not necessarily cruise ship unless a smaller ship as not enthusiastic about a large cruise ship with too many people even when there isn’t a virus going around.
