I have a fast heart beat when I'm really anxious. I find it distressing which seems to prolong the effect.

Thanks for this!

When I have anxiety I try and control my breathing. A bad anxiety attack can affect me for days. Once I was taken to hospital because they thought I was having a heart attack. Cold, clammy, blood pressure through the roof and weakness in my limbs. Turned out to be a panic attack.

Are you getting help for this?

Yes. Rapid heart beat, difficulty breathing, and chest pains. I find going for walks outdoors to be helpful.

I feel the same way to the point that I am hyperventilating. Or I thought I was having a heart attack.

No! I'm looking for help. I had my blood pressure go sky high, been feeling cold or get really hot.

I get very hot and start pouring sweat. I refused to believe it was anxiety because I didn't feel anxious at the time. My physician said my anxiety presents more in physical symptoms than emotional. That is hard for me to comprehend, but after every medical test and lab is negative I tend to think he is right.

I went to the ER last year because I thought I was going to have a heart attack. They gave me an anti anxiety drug and sent me home. I felt foolish. My health is my biggest anxiety, so I worry a lot about every ache and pain.

I hope you're well today.

I begin to believe that is true with what is going on with me.

Sometimes I don't have a reason to have anxiety attack. Sometimes I just started hyperventilating for no reason. I started feeling like I was hyperventilating just from the feeling. It suddenly stop on it on own.

Anxiety sometimes causes chest pain or stomach pain. Extreme anxiety causes upset stomach, or even occasionally headaches or shaking.

I still have these symptoms. Especially when something triggers it.
