Wasn 't sure whether to post this here or in meds, but thought I'd start with the anxiety sufferers. My anxiety is really bad right now to the point where it's interfering with my life. Clonazapam isn't cutting it. I was talking about my addictions Dr. about my meds and she suggested seroquel - but I understand that it's a pretty heavy duty anti-p with lots of side effects. I just wondered if anyone had experience taking it specifically for anxiety. Because I'm already pretty happy with the Anti-P that I'm on.

Splitimage,

I'm here to sing the praises of Seroquel for anxiety! I haven't felt this good in YEARS if ever. I'm able to handle stressful situations that used to send me running to my bedroom to hide.

I'm not going to lie, the first couple of weeks on the meds were awful. But every day after day 14 the side effects were less and less.

I was very concerned when my dr. wanted me to try function on the Seroquel without the ativan. But he was right, I don't need the ativan anymore.

I know drugs affect different people in different ways, but for me this was the answer.
