The other day, we took our daughter over to the school playground just around the corner from our house. I don't take her to this specific playground very often because it's meant for older kids and some of it is a little unsafe - but that's just where we ended up. Well, my stupid fears got in the way again. She wanted me to climb one of the play structures with her but I just couldn't.
And my lovely husband just laughed at me and made the situation even worse. I hate this about me. It's stupid, irrational, crazy fears and they are rubbing off on my little girl. She's only 2-1/2 years old but she sees my fear and gets a bit anxious herself. I hate that. I want her to have fun, not worry. Just venting. |
