Paxil can help for anxiety as well. There are alot of medications for anxiety, however no there isn't one for just worrying.

Excessive worrying can be anxiety.
I deal with it all the time.
Everyday pretty much which is never fun.

It also could be stress related, or that you are just a worrier.

I know that excessive worry is no fun, as I suffer from panic/aghoriphobia and am on many medications for different disorders.

I would say that you might want to discuss this with the MD who prescribes the Paxil (which is used for social anxiety at times) how you are feeling. In my experience with anxiety therapy and mixture of meds have helped the most as well as learning to distract myself from worry. I also suffer from alot of depression as part of having bipolar and depression can also cause alot of worry and anxiety as well.

I hope you do seek help and are able to continue to post and learn to develop coping mechanisms to distract or combat the worry.

Best Wishes and Take Care,

I know exactly how you feel my friend and my heart goes out to you!!. I spent several weeks getting ready for the "perfect" Christmas and now just this evening I went out to the barn and noticed my goat had a small band of foam/saliva around her lower lip. I could feel the adrenalin shoot up through me like a rocketship and I went into a panic thinking "rabies" or "mad cow disease". Then I remembered that I had given her some peices of leftover baked potato with mayonaise a short while ago and that she did'nt have the "foam" at any time PRIOR to my giving her the potato and mayonaise but now my mind is playing cruel tricks on me. Like I'll be thinking "maybe it really WAS foam and not mayonaise" or "why did'nt I get a better look at it to see if it was mayonaise?", etc. Then, every time I hear her move around or make a noise out there, look at me or make any movement whatsoever, I automatically get panicky thinking she has some dreaded disease. Same thing with me. Every sensation I have I automatically start worrying about what disease I might have and it just drives me nuts. All this coming on the evening before Christmas. This thing show no mercy and does'nt even let up over the holidays!.

Unbelievable.

oh, this is SUPPOSED to be such a perfect day. But my bunnies are warm and the food is cooking and the goats are happy. I am hanging out vegetating and it is all good.

It doesn’t depend on how many time you worry, but how much control you have when you are worried. If you feel there's absolutely no control then it's anxiety. It goes the same with every negative feeling. If there’s control, it’s “normal” or else the mental illness.
