I'm going to a disability PHD soon for an evaluation.
What can I expect? I'm scared to death. What if he puts me in a hospital right then and there? Can he do that? HELPPPPPPPPPPPPP |

Usually a person isn't put in the hospital against their will unless they are a danger to themselves or others. Try to remain calm, I am sure that the appointment will go okay just remember to breath and try to relax. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I had to do the same thing. And i was nervous as hell about it to. All he did was ask questions. He took some notes. I had to give him id, which was my drivers license. At the end he had me fill out some papers. I think it was like word problems, math, shape stuff.
**Just a heads up. If you drop something and bend down to get it. Make sure the table is not directly above your head when you come up. I'll be alright. Pretty much the same as seeing your regular pdoc. |

Don't try to do things that you would not normally do and visa versa. Just be honest. They are there not to judge you but to give an opinion on your condition as they see on the day. Nothing more! No one can put you into hospital against your wishes unless it's life threathing and you are basically unconcious and even then, I think they need to get signed family members, to do other investigations. Take deep breaths and say 'I am what I am and I do not feel any guilt. Each day is new and so Am I! Just remember on the day the Doc's are only able to comment on what they know from you! |
