For at least a year now I've wondered if i have some form of ADHD. At first I joked around because I talk A LOT. However, lately it's gotten to be a more serious contemplation. I daydream so much (If I'm in a boring situation I'm doomed), I am very forgetful, and though I think I'm paying attention, my mom has a contradictory view. I have fidgeted for years and it has been pointed out many times, but when I try to stop (if i catch myself doing it or others catch me), I become very uncomfortable and restless. That stuff is just some of it. Any opinions on the matter? (i know you guys can't try to diagnose me)

You very well could be? have you taken any quizzes to see? They are not diagnositc tools but they do help to let you know what is going on. I would talk with your family doctor or see a psychiartist to be sure.

Yes, I have taken at least 5 different quizzes and they all say minimally that I might have ADHD. I've taken the full quiz on this site twice, 2 different days. Both times I scored in the moderate range. I might see a doctor, I don't know.

I forgot to mention how easily I'm distracted or accidentally focus on something so intently i forget about everything else. I'll be doing homework, glance up at the tv, and suddenly it's 5 minutes later. But yeah, what you said about "you forget where you put yourself at", I'll trail off in a conversation and then have to ask what the original topic was.

Sounds pretty close to ADHD to me. We can't diganose, but I am thinking you do have it. Would be best to see a doctor.

Have you tried to use a stress ball for fidgeting? I carry one around in my pocket and am constantly squeezing it. Even with medication you will still fidget a little bit. The stress ball has worked wonders for me when I had to work.

That's actually a great idea, thanks. Although does it help with foot movement?

Yeah it does a little bit... changes the "direction" of your mind a little bit but not completely. I still shake my leg a lot. It is hard to stop doing that because it has become second nature to me. Wish I had a solution for that...I'd use it myself!!!
