Sometimes I feel like I can't focus on one thing, and my mind is constantly thinking several thoughts at one time. Even now, I can't focus on my typing and I keep starting and stopping. Is it just because I'm listening to music at the same time, or could I have ADD? I remember several times during high school when I would walk through the halls while my mind would roam and I would forget where I was and where I was going, sometimes I would suddenly realize that I was going the wrong way to get to class. And I'm really worried about getting my license (I don't have my driving license yet and I haven't practiced driving in a while). I remember a few times while I was driving when I would get distracted or space out, I have actually come very close to driving off of a road or two and kinda drove into a small ditch once. I'm starting to feel like I shouldn't even try to get my license because I'm afraid I'll be a danger would it be a good idea to try to get medicated?

Hello there. I'm sorry for the problems you're having right now. I can relate. I think you should seek professional advise as to whether or not you have ADD/ADHD. If you need to be medicated that is up for the doc to decide. Hope this helped and hope things turn out well.

I agree with Night Blossum, because a professional really should be the one to determine if you have ADHD. There are many other conditions that have symptoms like you describe but you really need a professional to speak with about this. I found a great Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in my area. She is great because she has the background of a nurse, the experience of a counselor and the ability to diagnose and prescribe medication like a doctor. It kind of like getting 3 in 1. Good luck!
