You can learn the best way to deal with it so that it doesn't negatively affect your life.....but then, that's the way it is with anxiety, depression, & all the other not so nice things that we deal with in our life.

If you are an adult, the ADD is probably here to stay. The good news is most people respond well to the ADD meds. The meds, combined with therapy and knowlege can keep the symptoms under control. I did not know what I was dealing with until I was 43 years old. I cannot believe how much better I feel, post diagnosis. Things finally make sense...

Hang in there

Recently diagnosed and it was such a relief! Now I know what to look for and still have so much to learn. But, yes, I feel much better post diagnosis also

Sometimes it will only last until you are a young adult (21-24) and then will "fade away". It also can stay for the rest of your life, an important thing to do is to start on medication and some form of therapy (CBT etc...) the more you are able to work on controlling it early the easier it will be later and you want to try and find the right medication preferably earlier then later.
