as an adhd "child", i would suggest:

1. taking breaks (even being able to stand up and stretch helps)
2. have food on hand (i find eating helps me concentrate, the chewing rythm or something)
3. let him/her have a "fidget", something they can play to help keep focus (eg a stress ball, a smooth stone, a rubber band, something to keep their hands busy)

It really depends on if it's inattention that's the issue, or more of hyperactivity.

My daughter, even on meds was wiggling a lot, so she has a 504 plan at school now and has a stability ball chair for most classes, and for once class, a desk she can either stand at, or sit and swing her feet as needed.
Thanks for this!

very interesting ideas, been tested and confirmed more than a couple times, but not enough to become common knowledge or widely accepted
