Hi-
I have been taking Vyvanse to combat ADHD for some time now. I was started on 20mg and amped up to 40mg. I took the 40mg for quite some time but I was starting to feel really paranoid. The doctor attributed the Vyvanse to the paranoia and dropped my dosage. Now I don't think it is working. I don't have the clarity I did before and my energy dropped off. My sleeping patterns have gone screwy again and I'm sleeping throughout the day. Has anyone been on Vyvanse and had a problem with paranoia? On top of all that, my health benefits were changed and I can't really afford to pay for such an expensive medication anymore. Where you taken off of Vyvanse and put on something else? If so, what were you put on? |

It gave me a lot of trouble sleeping, even long after it had worn off. I am currently on Ritalin 20 mg three times a day. It seems to work just fine. I've tried Adderal, too. You can get coupons from Shire, actually they gave me a little card, which enabled me to get a discount on Vyvanse. I actually liked it a great deal, because you don't have that up-down-up-down thing like with Ritalin. But I hated how long it took to begin to work, and how even after fifteen or twenty hours, I couldn't sleep...ugh. I would be tired but unable to fall asleep. Then, I didn't wanna get up. I've never had trouble with sleep on Ritalin or Adderal, and can quite easily take it and go to sleep, if I am not working, or doing something productive. That has happened many times on a Saturday or something, I will think, oh I had best take my meds so I can get my brain operational, and take them and fall asleep in the recliner reading a magazine or watching TV. Then I wake up several hours later, and think, well that was a waste! Lol.
