She wants me to sign a form of disclosure to parents, family members, etc. Also, my landlord has recently notified my parents of my unusual behaviors such as shouting for no reason (and sometimes at no one or at a malfunctioning object). I did act quite strangely at times (jumping up and down, laughing for no good reason, and talking to myself for hours and hours on end ad nauseum about different things). I have been not doing those things because now I think my landlord thinks I'm nuts or something Even my parents are worried about my mental health My shrink now is trying to get me to sign this form as if I am some type of mental case who cannot make decisions for himself or something Does this mean she thinks I am a nutcase because if she does she's dead wrong. I am absolutely not crazy! I didn't even discuss my unusual psychic powers, government conspiracies, or anything else that sounds "nutty" to most unenlightened folks, I was just there in the office and she's saying I will be signing a form today. I know I'm not but I think that some people think I'm some sort of crazy person. I went for concerns about attention and concentration but now shes asking me to sign ****ing forms to give her the right to talk to people about my "case" without telling me!

"Crazy" is not a clinical term and doesn't really have a meaning in a professional context. It is more of a description that people in general might use when someone does or says things that don't make sense to other people.

How would you explain the behaviors that you discussed? Do you understand what you did or why you did it? I do believe that nobody does things for no reason at all, so I try to figure out what someone gets out of acting a certain way. Can you identify any benefit or payoff to your unusual behaviors?

Once you figure out what the benefits to the behaviors might be, you can contrast that with what other consequences there are, such as that people are concerned, or maybe it bothers them, and then they feel like it is necessary to talk about it and maybe create a plan for what to do when you act that way. And if they do talk about plans, if you are able to discuss it with them and offer explanations that make sense to them and solutions that they can accept, then they will be a lot less likely to think that you are crazy and more likely to listen to you and consider your ideas.
