Hi there
My 16 yr old daughter has just been dxd, which is a welcome outcome, though i am guilt ridden for not doing anything earlier. The issue here though is that i work ina CAMHs team which is fairly dismissive of ADHD as a dx. Many misplaced and ignorant comments in meetings about ADHD and the causes, including autism. As my son has been dxd withAsperger previously, i do feel alienated by thos3 comments. My team is on the whole lovely and supportive, but not used toa 'parent' being present. I have told people about my son, but i'm apprehensive about sharing about my daughter. I am even wondring about my future in this job. Is ther anyone who is in a similar situation?

well I am part of an mdt team and have had people bash the programs my center provides. I take that opportunity to educate them on their ignorance.
