Hi All,
I’m interested in ways to upregulate dopamine release within the brain that don’t involve medication. So far I've come up with: 1. Taking tyrosine supplements and eating tyrosine-rich foods 2. Exercise 3. Meditation 4. Sex 5. Activities that induce a meditation state through gentle, repetitive, intellectually unstimulating activities like walking, ironing, showering, etc 6. Listening to music, especially lively music with a strong beat such as dance tunes 7. Doing art Does anyone know of any other potent ways to stimulate dopamine release in the brain without taking pharmaceutical medications? Thank you Dominic |

You get a dopamine rush when you are surprised by something good. Do an Internet search for "reward prediction error". Perhaps cultivate gratitude. There's no substitute for stimulants, though.
