Hardest thing for me was my family trying to make me understand that whatever I was doing didn't make sense to them, this is not how life is lived, I am just trying to give excuses to them. I have bipolar disorder that's why I always give ideas that doesn't make sense. I wont be able to do anything in life if i didn't concentrate in one thing.

Well Now I got "success(according to them ) " still I need to just continue doing it because that is how life is. Live like normal people and be like them. Be a part of assembly line, because that is "acceptable" in the society.

This is worse when there is another mental task at hand. Separating my thought process from a dominate arbitrary concept leaves me with no grasp on the meaning of the conversation. I am left confused. Irritated by nonsense. Sometime the arbitrary concept is an emotion. This makes it easier to retain a conversation that does not result in the other person complaining.

One of the easiest things is separating myself from feedback. For instance, I had to learn how to speak again after resuming treatment because I could hear my own voice.
Thank you so much for replying i appreciate it i can only begin to imagine how you feel having so many distractions and being able to differenciate your thought process from nonsense thoughts. That must be frustrating hats off to you i can see how it is frustrating as you try hard and it makes no difference people complain anyway.

I hope science develops ADHD medication so it doesn't have horrible side effects and enables you to be temporarly ADHD free in work. I think ADHD is a gift although i don't have it i wish i did.

Thank you again

Claire

Thank you for that i get what you're saying i know people with the condition and have seen first hand how people get annoyed with them for "not listening" "not paying attention" "being weird" "being spacey" "being rude" "ignoring them" etc. I hope people understand you and don't give you any stick for it as it's not your fault you're distracted.. Or they're just not interesting haha.

Thank you again

Thank you for sharing that i understand why that would be tough, it makes sense in your head and although they may not agree who is to say that you're wrong? I always find that my thoughts make more sense in my head then out loud... I don't even have ADHD so i am sure if your family have done this before that they will understand that everyone's opinions and strategies are different.

Thank you again

Omg I have this problem too. XD They say that people with ADHD can multi-task but I can't at all.

Thank you for the reply that must be frustrating, i get infuriated when i forget things or just walk into a room and forget why. I also get overwhelmed with clutter and choose to not bother starting to organise it..... And i don't have ADHD so i can only imagine what you must feel like. Hats off to you.

Thank you

Thank you for the response it can be however it's such a common trait it doesn't necessarily mean you have ADHD. If you think you may have it you could google the ADHD quiz or symptoms and determine if they sum you up or not. Best wishes.

Thanks

Thank you for sharing that i appreciate it greatly, do you lose interest in things you like? Maybe a song or tv show? You want to listen or watch it but get distracted and forget what you wanted to do? Or is it everything in general?

Thank you again

Claire
