I think you become better at controlling it so hypocritically speaking if u were a master at control ur triggers, it does go away.

they say it does for some people. that's certainly not the case for everyone.

so you feel you still suffer from it?

It depends on the person. According to studies, 50% of people with ADHD as a kid "goes away". I have a friend who was diagnosed as a kid with Aspergers, but she isn't diagnosed with it anymore though autism is life long, but she has learn how to deal with it, so her psychologist doesn't consider her to have "Aspergers" on her diagnosis anymore.

Anyways, do you still consider yourself to have ADHD symptoms? If you do, you could try to bring it up with your mental health specialist. Hope this helps .

For some it does - especially as they enter into adulthood. For others - it does not go away.

It's weird... when I was younger I quite obviously suffered from an attention deficit disorder, but as I aged the more severe symptoms slowly vanished. Now the only time I notice problems with my attention is when I am reading or driving a car, coupled with some days full of hyperactivity, except now I can control myself better.
