I'm so tired of not being able to focus I mean I feel like I'm alone and nobody has ADHD like I do (even though I know it's not true). I've had a rough time with medicines and I just don't know where to go for help anymore, so that's why I'm cruising the web, sadly. I take Vyvanse and Dexedrine both (not at the same time of day), but even 50 of Vyvanse and 20 of Dex is not enough to control my ever-rampant ADHD torture. I cannot explain how frustrating it is to someone who doesn't seem to be affected to this degree by ADHD. High-dose amphetamine is all that has ever helped, but not even to that "great" of an extent. Why is that, well I have had testing done professionally and I am a VERY FAST metabolizer for stimulants, so 50 of Vyvanse maybe lasted me 4 hours today (yay SO MUCH BENEFIT) god help me...

It's Zoloft inhibiting the effectiveness of the Vyvanse/Dexedrine. The meds are a bit of a drug interaction, but he says just getting by with some amphetamine (even with lessened effect) is the better outcome because I do AWFUL without SSRI's. That being said, I HATE SSRI fatigue and sex dysfunction and elevated appetite (especially while in class or during certain places), but I cannot help the OCD and the panic attacks that come with the obsessions. It seems crazy to have me on amphetamines with all that, but I have really crappy metabolism (even worse) for methylphenidates, so I had zero luck with those. I actually felt even more OCD with those than I do with amphetamines (except for the end of the day), but I'd pick amphetamines any day over methylphenidates.

Also, the SNRI category was a complete and utter disaster for me. I tried Effexor XR, Pristiq, Wellbutrin, Straterra, and I've never felt worse. I never tried Cymbalta or Fetzima, but I don't think they would have been of any more help. I felt like crap on all their "relatives," so I didn't even bother plus I'm doing a hell of a lot better as Zoloft is always the answer for me every time.
