What is the worst thing that could happen if you overdosed on Adderall? Right now I take 30mg of Adderall. I am just wondering what would happen if I took like 45mg of it. because I really feel like it is not working. and my teachers are saying that I am the most hyper active child that they have ever met.

I am normally on 35mg of Adderall. I usually end up with 45 mg instead. I find I feel better and seems to work better there. However I recommend talking to your doctor before changing yours.

Changing doses of any medication without your doctor's approval is a dangerous game to play. I'm with DepressMe and Josh on this one. Please speak to your doctor before making any changes yourself. Maybe a dosage change would helpful or maybe your doctor will suggest a different type of medication for you.

Too much Adderall?

Yes, you could already have too much rather than too little; you need to talk to your doctor.

Individual patient response to amphetamines varies widely. Toxic symptoms may occur idiosyncratically at low doses.

Symptoms:
Manifestations of acute overdosage with amphetamines include restlessness, tremor, hyperreflexia, rapid respiration, confusion, assaultiveness, hallucinations, panic states, hyperpyrexia and rhabdomyolysis.

Fatigue and depression usually follow the central stimulation.

Cardiovascular effects include arrhythmias, hypertension or hypotension and circulatory collapse.

Gastrointestinal symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps. Fatal poisoning is usually preceded by convulsions and coma.
