I seem to only get myself into situations where I have to live with either a relative, a friend, or girlfriend because I'm just not able to do it on my own, I'm not a very lazy person but I just can't seem to get my life in order

I can relate to this. I don't have AvPD but I do have a lot of anxiety (plus alot of other things related to my conditions) about doing things on my own. However, what do you mean about co-dependency? I thought that was when one partner/relative/etc. is abusive and the other can't get out due to being dependent on them?
