Okay, so I've been slowly getting back with God. I drifted away because going to church is hard for me. The thought of going makes me sick to my stomach even when I know there is nothing to be afraid of. I now sometimes listen to the radio or watch a preacher on the TV (if he/she isn't too out there and all about the money).

Anyway, I am watching something on TV that made me sad, lonely, envious. I mean, like most people, I want to have friends, meet a good man and have a relationship, maybe get married. This program just reminded me of what I don't have and probably never will. So, when I took a moment. I said a prayer. I'm like, "God, the thing I most want is the exact thing that I am most afraid of..."

It really is kind of funny, wanting something like friends so badly and yet being so afraid of getting it, or not. Just thought I'd share.

We all pray, we have to believe. God answers in HIS way not OURS. Believe me, that hurts. We want instant answers, I've learned am still listening, it's God's will, and I pray, every day for peace, happiness and love. Every day I ask, knock, and that door will be opened. I knock, I seek.
Sorry, just my voice
Thanks for this!

you did well in letting it out.
As far as the Chruch may be it is a very good place to make friends. You have something in common that you can talk about and something to do together. Sometimes Churches also have groups of people that meet up for many reasons.
I've been without friends and sometimes it feels like a mountain, all we have to do is to take down the mountain pepple after pebble
So don't expect big. Expect some company and some people to talk to.
That's a start. In time you will make closer friendships and, while your friendshop feet get better, you'll find other ways and places where to make friends.
Loneliness is terrible, loneliness kills us.
PLease do something
Thanks for this!
