I'm wondering what sorts of things others might augment treatment with. Exercise would be a big one, I would think, but have any of you found particular vitamins or supplements helpful along with meds? I exercise outdoors, meditate, write, and take a multivitamin, but I can't help but wonder if there's anything else that might be helpful. All in concert with the pdoc, of course. THANKS!

I also take a multivitamin, but still think there is nothing better than a well-rounded healthful diet. I think a Mediterranean diet is among the healthiest, and that's what I try to follow. Nothing extreme or weird about it, and the food is delicious and satisfying.
Stress reduction is key for me. Finding ways to reduce negative cognitive distortions is part of that. |

I think a healthy lifestyle is a must. Having a regular sleep schedule, eating moderate and moderate exercise all around. I used to take omega oil but it’s interfering with my stomach meds so I no longer take it or a multivitamin. I depend on eating balanced meals. I do take iron pills but I was diagnosed by my doctor with anemia.

Sleep and exercise are definitely my own go-tos. A healthy diet is a must, absolutely. Mindfulness meditation and writing both help my stress levels. Thanks for the feedback!

Eating a healthy, well-rounded diet is important for me. I love chocolate, so I have to make a conscious effort not to eat much chocolate. For example, I don't buy any to keep it in my home.
Sleep and plenty of it is essential. Exercise is so important. I need to exercise more. Mindfulness "tools"...meditation. Noticing when I'm tensing my shoulders; I relax them and remember to breathe from my belly. I'm trying to start journaling. In the past a mood chart was surprisingly helpful for me. Taking any healthy steps I can to reduce anxiety and stress.

Dark chocolate is really high in fiber, fairly low in sugar (depending), and can be surprisingly yummy. The higher calories can be an issue, but if you don't do it super often, it's not a big thing. There was this kind I used to get that had almonds in it. Good stuff. |

I use iMoodJournal , I haven’t been happy for awhile and when people talk about something to look forward to I’m like “meh”.

:-/ Are you basically in that flat sort of mood? Sometimes I'll be not exactly depressed but like my mood is flat and just apathetic.
