Bipolar Disorder Poll

I wonder . . .

You know, I'm not bipolor and don't even suspect myself of being bipolar, but FYI -- I took the quiz in the Disorders section of this site and got a 72 (severely manic).

Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone relies on the quiz to reinforce or disprove their diagnosis.

Let me add, that people should not take thoses quizzes and think a DX applies to them, a professional psychiatric evaluation is the best way to go for a real DX vs the internet.
Also, you'd be surprised how so many of us are Bipolar, but so mild that we are unaware of it, and a positive thing with cases like that, can be useful tool towards achieving things, etc. mild cases that do not require meds. have fueled many famous people in their works of art, literature and music.
The one's not so fortunate to be considered "mild", suffer(ed) from this but at the time some beautiful creations were born.

I've found out that I seem to "pass" most of the quizzes here. I think that's because many "disorders" have symptoms that mimic others. I just try to be honest with the docs and let them work their magic. I've always had issues with dx's and labels. If I think at anytime that my treatment isn't working, then I'll voice my concerns. But for the record, I had my doc clarify and he says BP1 (he had just said BP disorder previously and I assumed that meant BP2). Do you question your dx Jennie?
