I have been feeling anxious yet I am bipolar. I don't know how to deal with the dread and fear that also comes with the anxiety sometimes.

Watch what meds you are on...some antidepressants cause anxiety in certain patients. (Paxil is not supposed to, but it did for me!)

Benzodiazepines are a class of drug frequently prescribed for anxiety. They can be very effective. (You have to exercise some caution, as they are sedating and can interfere with driving, etc.)

Or, some folks find that just getting on the right mood stabilizer lifts the anxiety.

In addition to all those med options, sometimes a good therapist helps...
Thanks for this!

Hello, my doctor has prescribed Ativan for me while I we are trying to figure out the right Bipolar meds. I am not a big fan of "drugs" however, I have to say that it has really helped me a lot. Ativan calms you down but you can still get on with your life. I also go to the gym early in the morning and workout for around an hour that really helps too.

Hope this helps.
Thanks for this!
