SOmetimes mine asks... more often he asks is I've been using drugs! He's an idiot though so I don't care much for what he says or thinks. They are obligated to ask if you're taking your meds though... it's such a common problem with people who have mental illness where they don't take their meds. This way they know if you're having a problem if it's the med that isn't working or if you're not taking it right which will keep it from working right.

Are you serious? She asks you "Are you sure?"

It also may have something to do with the fact that it was the first I ever had with her and shes trying to feel me out. You think?

Maybe, also it might be she is trying really hard not to make any mistakes. It can be kind of scary thinking that you have so much responsibility for someone.... If she doesn't know you, it might be too easy for her to set the rib too low.

Coming from a medical view, I understand it. I have to be very careful when asking about meds and their usage to clients. If you mess up on the medication portion and you prescribe another med that infers your in trouble big time. I ask "how frequently do you use those meds?" Then repeat their answer for clarification, instead of "are you sure?"
Coming from our view, I understand it. I hate when my pdoc asks me if I have been but I understand that its part of the job, but still it bugs me. Its like I only pay 200 bucks a month for them and I let them sit there lol |

Weirdly, I don't think my psychiatrist has ever asked me. Maybe that's a sign of trust, I'm not sure. The truth is I DO take them pretty religiously, and maybe she can tell somehow. (Maybe because I don't seem as far gone as I used to...
![]() I wouldn't take it too personally, though, if she asked...would just be doing her job, if that's what it requires. |

She was probably just asking for purposes of her documentation. Gen Pracs are very busy, and since you brought it up, she had to document it. Try not to be concerned about it. It's good that she has it on record, though! billieJ
