I think something that has also been helping is not being woken up in the middle of the night. I had a few nights where I was sleeping away, only to be woken, and then taking 2 hours to fall back asleep. Grr.

We used to live right on the Potomic. The airplanes would start landing at the Interantional airport at 7:00AM and continue until they felt like laying off. BLAHHH!

I used to live 2 miles from a Navy air base. The worst days were when there were air shows. You couldn't watch tv or anything because you couldn't hear anything other than the roar of the various airplanes. Actually, the worst was living on the ship, because my berthing was right next to the jet engine testing room, and under the flight deck, plus all the general quarters drills that would happen randomly.
