Ive read sometimes You could have Bipolar mixed with something else.? Was wondering whats most common to have with Bipolar??

I think substance abuse disorders, and anxiety disorders would be the most common additional disorders. I've read stats indicating 50% of people with Bipolar abuse substances.

it's called "duel diagnosis."
anxiety disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, basically anything. the only thing that usually isn't co-current in bipolar disorder and schizophrenia is epilepsy. hence why ECT works so well ![]() there's a ton of articles on it online. just google "duel diagnosis bipolar" and you'll have a ton of information.

You can also have personality disorders with bipolar, although it can be hard to separate the one from the other. Lots of stuff can go wrong, and as far as anxiety goes, there has been serious talk that it should be listed as one of the diagnosis criteria, it shows up so often in Bipolar disorder.

Thanks Guys. When i get home from work im gonna research more. Bpd anyone know about? it sounds so close to bipolar. Is there any major diff between bpd and bipolar?

Check out the new DSM-V description of borderline personality disorder. By reading the definition, you will see that BPD is less about mood and more about relationships...among many other things. It is a very good description.
