After being manic for a good 6-7 months, I am suddenly depressed with panic attacks. I am not on meds, and have no dr or insurance right now.

Actually, this one is a really bad one. I think i need to be in hospital. i'm feeling very crazy, still have racing thoughts and all that, on the verge of major panic attack most of the day, can't find energy for anything, very very very very sad, very very paranoid about everything and everyone.

i'm afraid how bad it is. i had been to the local mental health but they said they couldnt help me cos i wasnt homeless or in hospital. i dont want to get so bad that that happenes to me.

scared, worried, exhausted. it's very cold right now.

I wish I had a solution for you but I don't. Are there any free clinics where you are? Could you see a regular doctor? I hope things get better for you.

Can you do a google search for crisis lines in your area? I don't know where you live, so I don't know what is available...I know that in my area there is a crisis line and they can refer you to something that will help you out. If you do feel like you need to be in the hospital, you should go in...again, I don't know where you live, but around here you can't be denied treatment even if you can't pay. And later on when you get a bill, as long as you make a small payment every month, they won't send it on to collections because a judge will throw it out if you can prove you are making a "good faith effort" to pay them back. A lot of hospitals also have financial aid available if you have no insurance and are low income. I hope you can find something to help you out...best of luck to you!!

County hospitals have to accept you in the emergency room and if they find that you are under severe mental stress, they have to keep you until you are stabilized or can transfer you to a treatment center. If you are feeling suicidal or are having a loss of control, they have to treat you. I don't have insurance either and I am trying to figure out how to deal with this but I do know that if I get to the point you are talking about, my husband already knows to take me straight to the emergency room. Please don't wait and try not to be afraid of the hospital. They may be able to get you the help you need now. Go with all of our love.
