Saturday: Took it easy today and went to a wedding reception. Plan for tomorrow: Kayaking. Now that will be a calorie burn.

Did the doggie get his walk on the treadmill too?

I noticed as my portion sizes were getting larger so was I. I started cutting back to half portions of what I was eating and putting it on smaller plates so it looked like more, LOL; having snacks in between like greek flavored yogurt w/granola or half a bagel w/peanut butter. I was hungry at first but has subsided after the first week. I have lost 10 lbs in 8 weeks.

This thread has inspired me walk again .... so I'm off. Thanks!
Thanks for this!

Walked the dog 1 mile last night after I went to a cookout at a friend's house. I ate 2 cookies! First ones I've had in over 2 months and the first one a chocolate chunk was really good. The second, which was just a plain old sugar cookie, not so much. I'm thinking that I really could have done without that last one.

I was lazy today and didn't even get on my treadmill or take my doggie for a walk. Everyone deserves a day off I guess.

Did a little in the garden before the rain (AGAIN WITH THE RAIN!!!) and did a very short doggie walk late tonight. The rest of the day I rested or did dishes.

I will be more active tomorrow.

I will also do a much better job with my food log this week. I forgot to write many things down last week, just can't remember it if I don't write it down before I eat it! And that food lob is very important for me to keep track of what goes in and needs to be worked off!

Well since this is the first time I've noticed this thread I'll just say that I've lost 32.4 pounds overall, most of that since January. While I can take credit for dieting & exercising......much of that is due to the lovely drug Topamax! But it's only fair, since I gained over 60+ pounds on Zyprexa last year. And I'm taking Topamax as a mood stabilizer, not only for the weight loss (that's just a bonus).

But today in particular was not too healthy. Took my daughter to McDonald's for lunch, and then had a BBQ with the neighbors for dinner.

But tomorrow will be healthier. Already have my lunch ready in the fridge, and I plan to walk to work, walk home for lunch, walk back to work, walk home, and I have a healthy dinner planned too.

I blew it this weekend but walked several miles so I think I balanced it out. Went to San Antonio and did a Ghost Hunt that was a mile long, then went to Sea World and walked about for 7 hours. Then went to the caverns the next day and walked for another hour. that was the most I walked in a long time. Although I did eat more fatty foods this weekend I feel good. Oh went and bought 2 pair of shorts in a size smaller than I was wearing and they practically fell off while walking. That made me very happy. Sad too cause I have new shorts that dont really fit and I already lost the tags so I cant return them.

Tuesday: No exercise, but I made sure to eat no junk food. I was irritable today so I spent the afternoon painting.

It rained at my house most of the day. But the sun has come out now and I took my doggie for a 2 mile walk.

Today I walked my dog as usual. I also sat out in the sun and had a bee fly down my bathing suite top and sting me in my left breast. Talk about dumb luck!!! I was laughing and crying at the same time, man that hurt!

Thursday: Power Shake for breakfast

I signed up for a health and fitness challenge that starts on June 21. I am using the time between then and now to make good habits a part of each day. I am determined to get in shape again.

Does speed shopping through Walmart count as exercise? If so, I sure did several laps around that store in record time!
