So its been 1whole week of Lamictal. Last tues I was up to96lbs and today I'm 89. I hardly have any appetite. I do smoke MJ to help calm my daily nausea&to help me eat but all I seem to want to eat is sweets. I have had a longstanding battle with binging&restricting(NEVER PURGING THO) because I'm afraid I will get overweight like my mom&her sister&die from astroke or have a debilitating cerebral hemmorhage from bein overweight. I even told my fiance that if I get fat I will kill myself if the weight doesn't come off.
I'm so sorry if that sounds awful&I'm not trying to offend anybody. I just have this overwhelming fear that I will get fat/obese&then have another whole disease to deal with. I haven't eaten anything but a half gallon of vanilla ice cream and oreos the past3days

I am not taking lamictal and I believe I am at your beginning weight, the higher one. But I do those things regularly anyways, including having to self medicate... I restrict for a few days then eat for a few and when I do eat I crave sweets but try to think about what I'm eating and choose something different. IDK about you but I have had a sugar overdose because it was all I was eating and they are NOT fun.

Fresh fruits and veggies would be a great start and they are not going to make you fat even if your a BDD like me and see yourself as fat. if your eating healthy foods then most of that is a misperception in our own minds.

Also try to get some protein like peanuts or something and sodium (salted peanuts are a great thing to keep around for just this purpose) and there is one more but I cant remember offhand.

I currently take Lamictal and as far as I know that is not one of the side effects but everyone is different. I also take Cymbalta along with Lamictal to keep me balanced, are you taking just Lamictal or is there another medication that has been added?
