My pdoc advised I stop my current AD, called Edronax in South Africa.
She's now starting me on Trazodone (Goes by the name of Molipaxin) which is taken at night. It is also very useful for people suffering from anxiety and is taken at night.

I cannot sleep without my sleeping tabs at the moment (Which I try, but I cannot!) and I'm hoping this will help. My anxiety is going through the roof.
My mood stabiliser has stopped me from going into serious depression, which is a good thing

Ack! Trazadone. Did not recognise the name. The first few days will make you tired. Not a bad drug just that one side effect.

I have been on Trazadone several times in the past. It didn't seem to do too much but I was using it for a sleeping agent and not for anti-anxiety so perhaps it was a different dose than you'll be taking. I wish you the best b/c I truly do understand how difficult it can be to find the right meds.

Not sure about the dosage yet, as the script was faxed to my chemist.
I'll be using it for a sleeping aid, anti-anxiety and anit-depressant. I have been told to take it at night...

i use trazodone to sleep and i have to take it IN bed because it knocks me out that fast. i don't have the lucid, vivid dreams, at least that i remember, that i had before meds. it's nice sleep. i take it for sleep, but also to supplement my other anti-anxiety drugs. some people wake up feeling hungover or groggy. i just spring up from it. best of luck with it. i hope it helps you.

I got prescribed it to sleep. It made me dizzy, not as dizzy as taking a gravol to sleep but pretty dizzy. Also freaking hard to wake up, but Ive always been a heavier sleeper. Hope it works for you

Well, I had 2 glasses of wine before going to bed (We went out to supper, so I thought it fair!) and I took it as I went to bed. The dosage is only 50mg.
I battled to wake up this morning.
Still woke up about 2x in the night, but didn't wake up with anxiety - also doing much better with regards to anxiety right now.
I have been told to stop taking my anti-dep's and take these instead. So I hope that I now don't have no anti-dep???

I took trazadone for years & it was great. I never had a problem. I don't need to take it anymore, I've been going to sleep better since that time in my life.

Ive been on it for about three years, it helps with falling asleep...my pdoc will not prescribe me sleep meds,though... (not alot of trust between us lol), so i hope it works well with you, if not then ask for something that WILL, uninterupted sleep is so important, take care

I have been dreaming an awful lot on these meds. They do knock me flat very quickly, but I still wake up a few times in the middle of the night.
I tihnk my biggest concern is that my pdoc took me off my AD's and now prescribed me this??? Only 50mg?
