I've had MD's suggest to me, my therapist says in all probability but went to a psychairatrist and he said i was just depresswed because of much stuff in my life going bad.. He put me on "pristique" for a month till i go back in a few days. I feel "different", better even, I'm thinking stuff through but my mind still races with thoughts, maybe I'm just more aware of them? hell, i dont know.. I just want to have a normal life for me and those around me.. people have said i'm moody, or In my mind they just "took thingd=s out of context.. I dunno.. Brian

BP 2 often goes undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for a while. Try to give your pdoc as much info as you can - mood charts, write down your symptoms/side effects in a journal so you can remember them at your next appt etc...
Also some people only have manic episodes in response to ADs and pristique is pretty strong so maybe it is the problem and with the right drugs you will be ok
all the best

Welcome Brian, I would suggest tracking your mood, so you can see if there are any patterns, identify any triggers (i.e. stress, what you ate drank). Do keep an eye on things, when I was put on an anti-d prior to my diagnosis it put me into a mixed episode, so keep in contact with your p-doc, track your mood, let a friend or family member that you trust/respect to let you know if he or she has concerns.

I found a great free online mood tracker. Here's the link: http://www.medhelp.org/land/mood-tracker

how do i know if I'm bipolar?
