When I miss one single dose of my Seroquel I start getting psychotic as soon as there is no Seroquel left in my system. I work nights and supposed to take meds at night, which I do not because I work on a busy med surg floor and I can not take it so doc told me to take it in the day before I go to bed but still it does not seem to have same effects as when I take it at night on my nights off. As soon as it is not in my system I start getting psychotic, paranoid, and manic. One thing for sure,Seroquel works.

Even though seroquel works for you, it might not be the best thing as you can't take it regularly and obviously need it. Although you didn't say why you can't take it when you work, I am assuming it is because of the side effect of sleepiness. You might want to consider another anti-psychotic like Abilify. I take it and it has been very helpful.

I find that it takes a few days for me, but if I stop Seroquel, I start feeling paranoid and start having some delusional thinking. I used to take it just for sleep as needed and when I was sleeping well, I would stop the med. Now I take it every night no matter what. It really makes a difference in my symptoms.

Abilify did not make me stop wanting to go on a massive shooting spree,The seroquel works for the most part. abilify works for some but if we want people to live,I better stick with the seroquel.
