So I went to my Pdoc today w/husband to talk about my work and what they did last week (tried to make me resign due to being bipolar while on med leave- which I did not do). Pdoc extended my med leave another 2 weeks. He said he does not think that I should return to my job. Great. Here is the dilemma. He gets me on a high enough dose of meds and I feel better then I can work some where just not there, but in the meantime they have caused me all kinds of issues and I have quit and now I do not have enough money to pay bills and no job.
There is NO way I can go back there. I have an FHA loan on my home and I can get it lowered for medical reasons. ARGH. The Pdoc said that he does not think medically it is wise for me to continue working there and I would end up worse than I am. OK. Then can he write me a medical excuse to quit? Ugh! I am going to call the bank tomorrow and let them know I am currently on unpaid indefinite leave and see what proof they need. Maybe that will work...maybe not? If I can get the loan lowered it would help a lot. I also contacted the Texas Workforce Commission Discrimination Complaint office to talk to an Investigator about filing a complaint - have not heard back yet. little manic today - ya think? |

Gee, sounds you have your hands full. I unfortunately do not know how things work in your side of the world, but please seek as much informed and legal advice as you require

LaraLynn: getting another job won't affect a discrimination complaint against your ex-employer. Neither will quitting - if they made the situation too difficult for you to continue, it's still discrimination. Hope everything work out for you...being financially strapped is a really tough spot, but it is one you can get thru - I know that personally, and there are others here who have been thru it, too. Positive vibes coming your way...

Thank you all! I am making my self sicker thinking about this horrible situation. My Pdoc told me to take the next two weeks to decide two things 1. do I really want to go back to work for this horrible place and 2. if I go back there would I want to have filed the discrimination complaint.
So I was manic and could not sleep at all last night. I run the situation in my head a million different ways. If they would really fire me then I could collect unemployment and then the discrimination complaint would be that much better. BUT they are trying to force me to quit... UGH! And I am a mess I keep having this huge mixed episodes. Today I got an email from my boss requesting me to come talk to her tomorrow...UM NO! I am on medical leave. I emailed her and told her I would not be talking to her while I am on medical leave per my Drs. instructions. I need to quit - why won't I quit? |
