I was at my pdoc and while talking to her I realized that I've been taking leftover Geodon thinking it was my Topamax and the bottle even says GEODON on it!
Besides being embarrasing and looking irresponsible in front of my doctor I quit Geodon for every single reason there is. I thought it was a different packaging of the same pill and I don't know if I've been taking it for weeks or a month because my memory is totally shot. Super hoping this is the reason I've been so lethargic and spacey lately... I am so ridiculously responsible about my meds. Has anyone else ever messed up this bad? |

I've taken the wrong pills before. Part of what helps me is I get out my morning pills when I get out my nighttime ones (since I'm always running late in the morning). I also know (silly as it may seem) how many pills of each color and shape I'm supposed to take when. For some reason that's easier to remember. I also always keep them in the same order (this is very easy because they're laying in a small safe on the counter - kept them safe from me when necessary and now keeps my brother from stealing them).
Don't feel too bad...it's certainly not the end of the world... a month is just a month and everyone messes up every once in a while. I took my nighttime meds one morning...morning became night very quickly lol. |

When I thought my roommate was getting into my anti-anxieties I emptied the Clianapin into an empty opaque migraine pills bottle and wrote "Nausea!!" on it. There was no way I will mix those two meds up.
Anyway I left the empty Clianapin bottle out on the table so she would assume I was out and it seems to have worked. |

When I was on lithium, my pharmacy had been dispensing 300mg capsules so I would take 2 a day. Every time I got the lithium it would look different as it was from different suppliers. Then one time they dispensed in 600 mg capsules and I wasn't doing well so I didn't think to read the label. I ended up toxic and in the hospital for 5 days on an IV. Now I read the label every time I have my meds filled.
