Recent set backs has made it very difficult to get the treatment I need because I can no longer afford it.

Any suggestions?

what part of treatment are you seeking assistance with? The meds, pdoc visits or therapy?
I'm not from USA, so others will be able to help here much better, but is there no state insurance or similar you can use?

I'm from Canada, but therapy unless it's part of a Hospital funded program costs either out of pocket or through a work health benefit plan. There are options in Canada, but it does take effort to look into it. I would suggest speaking to your pdoc about it, look online for a mood disorder and/or bipolar organization, look in your community for mental health organization. You can even try contacting the Hospital's Psychiatric Unit who can sometimes provide contacts.

This might help:

I would ask your "former" care providers for ideas; they may lower their fees or know of alternatives in your area.

Thank you all. Ironically I did what Perna suggested and that paid off! (get it "paid" off, lol)

Anyway I was directed to a County level crisis management center that will help me.

Oh and for those outside the USA. "We" like to remind all of you how we are the greatest country in the world but our health programs suck overall. Fortunately it is not quite as bad as I thought though.

So glad you were able to find help! And I agree about our health programs - because of my husband's income, we can "afford" to pay premiums upwards of $1,000 a month with huge deductibles..of course, after other expenses, there aint a whole lot left...so much for the American dream!
