Is anyone taking Cymbalta for depression and anxiety? If so, what is your dosage? My pdoc just increased my dosage from 30mg to 60mg. We are hoping it helps decrease my anxiety.
What has been your experiences with Cymbalta?

Cymbalta was one of my many "trial medications" in the past. I thought it worked well for my anxiety but other medications where better for my condition. I hear cymbalta is good for anxiety. Good luck and hope it works well for you.

I used to take it. Went up to 90 mg. It helped. I didn't notice any side effects.

It has been my miracle drug. My depression nearly disappeared the first day I took it and anxiety...hasn't been a problem at all since I started it last July. My depression is very low grade and almost non-existent while on Cymbalta. No other anti-depressant worked on me. I wish it had been the first one I tried instead of like the 7th. Good luck and I hope it works as well or better on you.

Oh, my starting dose was 60mg, now I'm on 90mg (60am/30pm), but I may go up to the maximum dose of 120mg in the coming weeks.

I returned to cymbalta after I went off it because of insurance issues. I think it saved my life. Even though I'm in a dark place right now, I can't imagine where I would be without it

I took it and it really helped with my pain but I did get the SI side effect with it. I seem to get that with all SSRIs and SNRIs. It seems for a lot of people its a good med if insurance will cover it.

I take 90mg every morning. Recently moved up from 30mg after ECT ended. My highest dose has been 120mg but we dropped it when I started ECT, don't know why. I didn't know it was supposed to help with anxiety. I still have anxiety occasionally but usually not bad. Cymbalta has helped with my depression.

I take Cymbalta for MDD, it's been a huge help for me. My doctor just increased my dosage from 30mg to 60 at the beginning of the week. When I started on it, I had some side effects including nausea and what I suspect was hypomania (I'm not bipolar afaik) for a couple weeks before I crashed, though my doctor thinks it was just increased anxiety. Either way the side effects mostly disappeared after a few weeks, and it's definitely helping with my mood. I'm still getting pretty depressed some of the time, but I have a lot more good days now.

I can't really compare Cymbalta to any other anti-d, as I've never been on any other, but I can definitely say, Cymbalta's been a miracle drug for me.
