I had a rough day - yesterday was my last day of work, which was good - today my husband came to therapy with me for the first and probably last time, which was exhausting -it brought up a lot of memories of an ex that was abusive, so now, even though it's over 12 hours later, i took a nap and we actually had a nice afternoon, went out to dinner and dancing, now i went to bed and am wide awake and flashing back to 10 years ago...this is with all of my meds and i just took an extra Xanax...i feel like I drank coffee..i didn't know if i should post this here or in anxiety or maybe even PTSD- I think i've been having mixed episodes but being awake at 2:47am isn't fun...maybe I should take an extra ambien.

hmmm well you just took extra xanax so is it wise?
No being up is not nice in the early hours of the morning.
Especially not if ur having flashbacks.
Maybe you can find something to do to distract yourself.
???
Im sorry its been hard, often days where we experience big changes or emotionally charged situations will have this effect.
Dont panic, try not to stress too much on things.
Goodluck.

I'm sorry past history is bothering you. I have spent my fair time, dwellling over my past of abuse, but remember "we made it this far in life without it and it wont slow us down". Hold on tight to "the now" in life as for that is what keeps us strong.

I think I was just on overload yesterday - i did finally sleep - I'm also switching from regular Seroquel to the XR but forgot to take it at the right time yesterday so i think that had something to do with it too

Had a very nice day with some physical activity so I'm hoping to get my sleep back on track.

I wonder if it's your meds? I've been battling to sleep in the last 2 weeks. I think my culprit is Wellbutrin, even though I've been on it since November?!? Having nightmares too, and lying in bed for nearly 1 hour before I fall asleep. It's terrible.

Have you mentioned this to your pdoc?

I took Wellbutrin a long time ago when I was diagnosed with straight depression but I don't remember taking it to help me sleep. I'm now Bipolar 1 and take Temazepam for a sleep aid. It does wonders for me. I also take Lithium, Lamictal and Propronolol for tremors. Hope this helps.

I only take Wellbutrin in the morning because it can affect sleep. the dr knows - sleep is an ongoing battle for me - I see her again in 2 weeks so I can talk to her again...hoping without the stress it can get better.

Last night I fell asleep great - i just wake up early (after 4 hours)- plus I snore BADLY so I'm wondering if I have sleep apnea - i've already had a deviated septum repaired and quit smoking and not overweight so emliminated all those things and UGH was at the regular dr today and should have asked. Oh well.
