when i get anxious I try to distract my mind with something, going for a walk, reading a book, going for a ride just to get out of the house,. maybe just try and find something that u enjoy doing to occupy ur mind.

When I am anxious, I do deep breathing, do soothing things like camomile tea. I usually get a creeping skin sensation on my back and shoulders so I put on a weighted heating pad that covers most of the area and it soothes it a bit. Very last, I take an Ativan. There are a few other things I do occasionally but I can't think of them right now.

Try to get your mind off of it....take a walk, exercise,whatever works, listen to music, play games on the computer...everyone is different. For me I would go shopping or treat myself to lunch or breakfast....anything to get away...reading can help if you are able to focus!!

Tonight I am having a few beers. Not the best way to cope, but OK for today.
