I don't know if its meds related, new job related or BP related or what, but I feel so flat and lifeless at the moment that all I want to do is sleep. If you have any to spare please send some

(((BLACKPUP)))) I would send you spare energy if I had some....
I know that some medication can dehydrate you. Be sure you are drinking enough liquids through out the day. They say at least 8, 8oz glasses of water.... hope this helps!

I have to much energy right now but can't sit still or focus on anything. I like playing my guitar and reading but can't concentrate.

I know the last thing you probably feel like doing is exercise but it does help. Exercise releases a chemical in the brain and will make you feel a bit more awake and energised after. Even a twenty minute walk can be very beneficial.

I like to ride my bike for exercise and when I do it helps a lot. The problem is I rarely can get the motivation to do it.

A little bit of exercise, even if it's walking around the block (hell, even the apartment complex!) for at least 30 minutes a couple times a week. Make sure you are intaking the proper amount of vitamins (omegas 3 & 6, as well as the B vitamin complex). And do stuff that just relaxes you & makes you happy when you have off time: Your mind will be stimulated & preoccupied so it will have less time to make you feel blah, as well as will lift your spirits in general.

Hi BlackPup wow this is the story of my life always being tired as I have fibromyalgia and ME along with the mental health issues.
My new method of getting rid of this ongoing tiredness,as I can't exercise due to being in a wheelchair most of the time,is basically sitting in the fresh air in the garden.
Someone suggested it to me and to be honest I thought to myself it wouldn't work but it does,I sit out half an hour on a morning, afternoon then early evening, its stopped all the early evening naps therefore enabling me to go to sleep at a reasonable time at night.
If you can exercise then of course that is great, even just a slow walk around near to home will work.
Hope I've helped a little,take care
JK

Thanks for all your ideas
I will try to walk my dog for exercise on my days off.
I have started taking heaps of vitamins and stuff so hopefully that will help.
I am also trying not to stress too much about work cos I think that's pretty draining.

It is 8pm and I'm ready for sleep already

BP, you probably need the extra rest/sleep to recuperate from the added stressors. I say listen to your body and go to bed when you're tired!
Thanks for this!

Vitaman B give me energy every day, plus I am on a nutritioinal shake that I do twice a day in order to give me energy.

So happy to hear that you survived every week Blackpup.

Did you do anything to increase your energy?

I've started taking multivitamin tablets and fish oil and vit D. Haven't exercised yet cos of work but will take the dog for a walk in the morning for the next 3 days before work starts again - then I'll be snowed under again for 3 days.

Now, BP...this week will be so much better than your first two! You now know the routine and the people you work with, so things are falling into place already! Those are two of the most important things so having a little head start in those two areas will go a long way to relieve that feeling of being "snowed under". When my job got like that I would say to myself: "I can do anything for 8 hours!!" You can do it for 1, then 2, then 3....before you know it the day will be over!
Thanks for this!
