My T called me back this morning, we had a long talk about the psychosis I am having and what to do . She wanted to help keep me out of the hospital if possible. The plan is to see her Tuesday, and have CRT call my house frequently over the weekend, make sure I had prescriptions for prn's.

I think this could work, Staying out of the hospital makes my life simpler and less stressful, for those that don't know I am a single mom of three.

I did have more voices today, but milder in tone.. I am hoping this will continue to be the case and I will remain at home with my children. If not I will be willing to go to the hospital to get better. But for now I am happy with this plan. Just an update. I am feeling much better today.
Thanks for this!

Good for you! I was a single mom and it would have been super difficult to go to a hospital. As long as you have a good plan and stick with it, it just might work! Yeah!
Don't forget good food..healthy..... and sleep!!
Thinking of you!!

The first time I got psychotic my wife called my Pdoc and had me talk to her. She asked me what was going on and I explained my symptoms. She suggested that I go to ER. I worked in a State Hospital for 23 years as a psych nurse and I told her that there was noway that I was goin to the hospital. She prescribed Zyprexa for me and called it in to the drug store. I took it that night and by morning the psychosis was gone. I take it now and will always take it. that was about 15 years ago..I have not had an episode since then. I hope you get through this without going to the hospital.

Still having voices and some tactile hallucinations now. The paranoia is going away, thank goodness. I have little faith in antipsychotics now as the last four months nothing has taken the psychosis away.. Maybe it's something I just have to wait out. My mood on the other hand has been quite pleasant last few days. Weird.

I am glad to hear the paranoia is getting better and your mood has been better. I am sorry the antipsychotics aren't getting rid of your hallucinations. Maybe with a little more time they will? I have had auditory hallucinations in the past but I can't remember if the antipsychotic (Zyprexa) is what helped get rid of it or if it went away when I came out of the mixed episode I was in.

This morning not so good. A few tactile. And a few delusions I think. Plus a mild visual. All in all milder than the other day. However it's only noon. I am supposed to do a workout tonight with my sister. I asked her for something Like yoga. Nothing to hard or coordinated. Still feel Very very drugged.

Hallucinations are a lot easier to endure when they aren't seen through paranoia-tinted glasses!! At least you're having some improvement! Perhaps look into a neurological disorder for the tactile hallucinations? I have a combination of both, but without a doctor, I can't separate what's what. :P

I usually get saws across my face , but this time it has Been freezing cold spots and nasty smells. Much more pleasant than saws. I think I am getting better slowly. My mood has been ok for a while now.

thanks for all your encouragement

I am trying to keep a log here so I can look back and see if I have made progress.
I find the CRT calls a little bit triggering tho.

Anika- maybe the yoga touched some emotions that are making you feel depressed? Write down what you are feeling
Thanks for this!

Sorry you were feeling down tonight, at least the knitting keeps you occupied.
As for yoga, which I'm awful at, I've only done some of the very basic stretches. Afterwards I felt less stressed & better able to handle things. AND...those feeling lasted about 2days after I did the exercises. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.
So, to answer you, no didn't get depressed. Maybe you over did it or it's still your meds. or mood still a little out of kilter?? Either way keep an open mind about it, doing it regularly, maybe 2-3times a week might make a difference in lifting you moods. Hope this helps.
Take care & look forward to your posts!
