I stay up really, really late and do not like going to bed.

The first thing I think to myself is if I will even be able to sleep, and if I do sleep, how early will I wake up in the morning, and what I have to get done the next day.

I think about the things i didn't do that day. i plan them out, i imagine myself doing them the next day. I wake up exhausted and do nothing then repeat the same cycle night after night.

I think about how many hours I will be able to sleep if I sleep through the night, and if there will be time the next day for a nap. That's just the first thing. Things run through my mind for hours.

My dream life is much more interesting than my real life, so I am always grateful to go to bed for the night. It can be hard to get out of bed some nights because my body doesn't feel like it belongs to me.
Thanks for this!

"ooh this is nice..... ok i'm bored now...... why cant i sleep i have been tired all day?......oh a caterfly, i mean butterpillar.... snore.......jump.......wake up....... did i just go to sleep or did i dream that...oh there is a girl playing a car in the right side of my head and badger looking for him food in the left side......sleep now misha..... i cant."
thats a usual night.
When hypo i'll lay in bed and then think... Now is a good time to start the novel, order stationary online... hoover the utility room.
When depressed i was already asleep before i got to bed, may stay awake long enough to cry

Before going to bed I always check to make sure the oven/stove are turned off.

I dread sleep..I always try to stay awake until I cannot go any further. My first thought is to try to psyche myself up enough to do my nightly routine..even though I am completely exhausted! Then I think of the next day and how in the world I am going to make it through.
Thanks for this!

Because I take my entire dose of bipolar meds at night it knocks me out and I don't recall dreams. Sometimes I don't even remember falling asleep... that is when I wake up with the light on and my book in my hand. If it is cooler weather, which is most of our year here, I just enjoy being warm and comfortable. I used to have anxiety about falling asleep but after years of consistently being knocked out I have no more worries. However, if I forget to take my meds I barely sleep, waking up every half hour. I usually wake up more refreshed though after alight like that then a full nights rest on my meds. Funny that. But, I will never stop taking my meds because being in the hospital is far worse than any side effects the meds have on me.
