Limiting it is a good idea. I was worried about my alcohol use once, due to a definite, singular, abuse of it landing me in the hospital and in four-point restraints. I stopped for nine months. I have made the decision to use it again since, but I never use it to self-medicate. I almost never drink alone, unless I have leftover wine, and then it's just one glass with supper. I know that I have to be careful with it.

It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: "And this, too, shall pass away." How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction! ---"Address before the Wisconsin State Agricultural Society". Abraham Lincoln Online. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. September 30, 1859. |
